Figure 1.1 Physical Collage by Mr Fauzi

Tutorial:

Mr Fauzi assigned us to submit 3 of our favourite graphic design works on Pinterest and write a summary and description about them.

Practical:

3 of My Favourite Graphic Design Artwork from Pinterest

Figure 2.1 Artwork #1

What I love about this graphic design work is its overall aesthetic, which gives off a vintage 90s vibe, by showing its saturated colour palette and grainy texture. Additionally, the experimentation with contrasting colours like the combination of orange and blue creates a striking visual effect. The composition is well-balanced, and the typography is appropriately chosen, further placing a visually aesthetic impression.

When I came across this poster on Pinterest, I was intrigued by the design of this work. Although the composition of this graphic design work is slightly cluttered, it still gives off a very simple impression. Some of the words are cut off by the images but both the words and images are placed in a good composition that is not messy and easily understood the purpose of this poster.

I discovered this graphic design work on Pinterest and I like its simplicity and minimalism aesthetic. The clean, uncluttered and simple composition enhances the overall concept, making it both functional and visually appealing. The choice of fonts and typefaces suits the design's purpose perfectly. In my opinion, the balance between the typography and the overall aesthetic creates an aesthetically pleasing visual impression.

Reflection:

This week's lecture was focused on the module briefing and an introduction to this module. The briefing helped me understand the expected outcomes of each assignment.

We were introduced to the module this week. Although we did not have a physical practical class, we were assigned to choose three of our favorite graphic designs and write descriptions about them. This practical activity made me realize the variety of aesthetics in graphic design and it was truly eye opening to explore them. Moreover, this exercise also allowed me to discover my own aesthetic preferences in graphic design, which I think is a great start to the Digital Photography and Imaging module.
